Our low carbon bio-acetate uses plant based plasticisers and natural dyes, giving them a carbon emissions footprint of only 110grams (about the same as making three cups of tea).

Bird frames use Bio-acetate which is better for the environment and biodegradable. Unlike traditional acetate, bio-acetate is made without the use oil-based plasticisers.

Plant based dyes are used in our colouring of woods and our eco-cork cases have been certified to conform to ROHS directive and ISO 17226. Bird cleaning cloths from recycled plastic bottles.

All Bird Eyewear sunglasses are polarised and offer 100% protection against UVA and UVB radiation.  They are lightweight, super tough and scratch/impact resistant.
