Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses may seem tricky, but it is easier than you might think. Here are a few tips on size and shape to help you.
There really is only one rule. Ultimately, you want to feel good and look cool in your shades, so trust your instincts. If you're not sure then try different styles and sizes, and choose the pair that makes you feel like a rockstar.
If you're not sure where to start, the rest of this guide will give you some ideas.
Sunglasses come in all shapes and sizes; from cat-eye, round, rectangular, oval, aviator, etc.
A lot of guides will tell you that square faces need round glasses and round faces need square glasses, and so on. For us, the shape is all about the vibe. So, depending on what vibe you are going for, choose the sunglasses that get you in that mood.
We are all different and the size of sunglasses is a factor you should consider, only because it can effect how comfortable they are to wear.
You'll find most eyewear is measured in the same way, with 3 dimensions. For example:
50-17-145
In this example, the numbers mean that each LENS is 50mm wide, the BRIDGE over your nose is 17mm wide, and each ARM over your ears is 145mm long.
A good way to judge your size is to measure an existing pair of glasses that you like. Or keep it simple and if you think you have a larger head, go for bigger numbers.
If in doubt, go for a pair that has spring hinges so they will adjust to your head for extra comfort.
To make it easy for you, each pair of our sunglasses has their dimensions listed in the "Specification" part of each product page.
As well as the numbers, we've also added a generic size (Small, Medium, Large), just to make it really clear.
Whatever shape and size you choose, you have the peace of mind knowing that you can return them to us free-of-charge if they are not quite right.
Most importantly, remember Rule #1: wear what makes you feel good.
